MUSE 2022 IN-PERSON EVENTS

We are delighted to unveil a line-up of events for Muse-goers to connect in-person in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood during several nights of the conference. Participants may reserve tickets for themselves and an optional plus-one. While the person reserving the tickets must be registered for Muse 2022, plus-ones do not need to be signed up for the rest of the conference. Capacity is limited for the Friday and Saturday night events, and everyone must have a ticket to enter. If tickets sell out, there will be a wait list.

Add in-person events to your Muse 2022 experience when you register. If you are already registered, follow these instructions to reserve your in-person events tickets.

“Finding Your People” GrubStreet Center Reception — Friday, April 29, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM

Join us for a Friday evening reception at GrubStreet’s brand new Center for Creative Writing in the Seaport. Take to the stage during our “Finding Your People” story slam to tell a 5-minute tale about someone who has enabled or enriched your writing life and how that relationship began. Join themed meet-and-greets in our classrooms to find writers working in your genre, potential critique and writing group partners, and other Muse-goers looking to make the same types of conference connections you are. We will have relaxing activities, space to hang out and chat, snacks, desserts, soft drinks, beer, wine, and more!

Conference participants may reserve complimentary tickets for themselves and a plus-one. Proof of vaccination and a booster is required to enter and masks are required when not actively eating or drinking. This event is for ages 21+. 50 Liberty Drive, 02210.

“Literary Obsessions Night” @ Davio's — Saturday, April 30, from 7:00 to 9:30 PM

It’s been three long years since Muse-goers have been able to gather physically to indulge our shared obsessions with writing and to revel in the energy of a roomful of other writers. Join us to begin a new chapter at Saturday night’s all-conference party at Davio's in the Seaport. Come ready to share whatever you’ve been obsessed with lately, on or off the page. Bring some ideas for whom you would most love to connect with at this event. You can embark on a unique and fun challenge to find those people and win prizes or just settle in and enjoy the company of other conference participants. All guests will receive complimentary hors d'oeuvres throughout the night. Each ticket purchased includes a complimentary drink ticket and there will be a cash bar."

Conference participants may purchase tickets at $25 each for themselves and a plus-one. Proof of vaccination and a booster is required to enter and masks are optional. This event is for ages 21+. 50 Liberty Drive, 02210.

“Seaport as Muse” In-Person Write Night — Sunday, May 1, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM

At the close of Muse 2022, gather with us for a sunset writing session inspired by GrubStreet’s new Seaport neighborhood. Meet us on the steps of the Institute for Contemporary Art / Boston to respond to a Seaport-themed prompt, journal about your conference experience, or write about anything you want. Write overlooking the harbor or fan out through the neighborhood to find a different spot that sparks your imagination. Bring things to write on and write with. We will have time at the end for some attendees to share their work.

Conference participants may reserve complimentary tickets for themselves and a friend. This event is for all ages. 25 Harbor Shore Dr, 02210.
