2022 WRITER'S STUDIO

New in 2022, the Writer’s Studio is a rare and exciting opportunity for you to meet one-on-one with a prominent guest author to discuss your writing, your life as a writer, and anything you would like to ask them about their own practice and writerly journey. Before the session, you will submit 15 pages of a manuscript to your author of choice, along with up to five questions that will guide your focused, one-on-one conversation with them. In a 40-minute session during the second week of the conference, you and the author will meet via video chat to discuss such topics as macro strategies for revising your manuscript, your writing process, artistic and professional goals, and anything else that may help your craft and your career. Rather than a space for workshop-style line-edits, formal critique, or shopping your manuscript, this will be an intimate, personalized mentorship conversation centered on your individual needs as a writer.

Instructions for submission of sample manuscripts are on this page, just below the author profiles.
