#Muse20 Scholarship Application

We offer partial, need-based scholarships--for general audiences, for writers doing great work in the literary community, and for writers from historically marginalized backgrounds. No previous publication or MFA required, and there is no application fee.

We welcome you to apply for multiple scholarships by selecting all scholarships you'd like to be considered for in your application. Nearly all scholarships are awarded in quantities of $250, to be used towards Muse 2020 registration. Occasionally we offer larger amounts to individuals demonstrating particular need and writerly promise. All scholarships we offer are listed below.

The deadline for all scholarship applications is Monday, October 28th, 2019 at 11:59pm ET. We will send out notifications to everyone by November 11th.

Successful applications usually contain 2-3 short paragraphs that paint a clear financial picture for the committee to consider, and they detail how the applicant will uniquely benefit from the Muse & the Marketplace. We do not ask for corroborating documents; we only ask that you help us understand your situation.
