Stéphanie Abou

Stéphanie Abou is an agent with Massie McQuilkin Literary Agents. Originally from Paris, where she completed a Master’s in Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne, she decided to make a career out of her passion for literature after an internship at Farrar, Straus and Giroux in the late 1990’s. Starting at The Joy Harris Literary Agency, then at Foundry Literary + Media, she developed a dual career as a foreign rights director and a domestic agent until landing at Massie McQuilkin in 2015, where she has been focusing solely on building her list of authors. She specializes in character-driven fiction, YA and middle grade literature with a smattering of crime fiction and memoirs. She is looking first and foremost for outstanding story tellers who can create an urgent and immersive quality to the reading experience. Alison Lewis

Alison Lewis is a literary agent at the Zoë Pagnamenta Agency, where she represents narrative nonfiction, cultural criticism, history, science, literary fiction, and memoir. A Colorado native and graduate of Middlebury College, she worked in editorial at W. W. Norton & Company before joining the agency in 2016. WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR

I get excited about serious, immersive journalism; sharp cultural criticism; memoir braided with theory or research; literary biography; and narrative nonfiction – particularly uncovering lives or perspectives that have been overlooked or omitted from the news or the historic record. I represent much less fiction, and generally only literary fiction, but within that I’m drawn to voice-driven, quirky/off-beat, or wildly imaginative stories, as well as writing that is quietly attentive to the intricacies of day-to-day life and human experience.

Cindy Uh is a literary agent at Creative Artists Agency.

After graduating from Boston College, Cindy went on to receive her J.D. from UCLA School of Law. She became an agent in 2015 and was Counsel at the publishing law firm of Lyons & Salky Law LLP until 2019, when she joined the Publishing Department at CAA. Sandy Lu founded Book Wyrm Literary Agency in 2020 after working as a literary agent for a decade at other boutique agencies. Her client list includes Kindle bestsellers, Stoker Award and Hammett Prize nominees, Goodreads Choice Awards finalists, and New York Times Best of the Year recipient.

Born and raised in Taiwan, Sandy immigrated to the United States in her teens and has lived in New York ever since.
