MARIAH STOVALL

Mariah Stovall recently joined Howland Literary after three years at Writers House, where she worked alongside Susan Golomb. Prior to that, she worked at Farrar, Straus & Giroux and at Gallery Books.

She is a graduate of Pitzer College, of the Claremont Colleges, where she studied English and World Literature with a minor in Linguistics.

She has published fiction and nonfiction with Poets & Writers, The Paris Review, Literary Hub, Joyland, Hobart and more. In her free time, she volunteers as the BIPOC Survey Coordinator for VIDA: Women in the Literary Arts.

Mariah is seeking adult literary and upmarket fiction and short story collections. For adult nonfiction, she is seeking narrative nonfiction, essay collections and memoir.
