Attendance at The Muse and the Marketplace has grown 15% each year since 2009, and now draws more than 800 participants over three days of programming. Sponsorship of this event gets your business name in front of writing and publishing industry innovators and leaders, as well as serious authors seeking author-centric services and continuing education.

More and more, freelance editors, copyeditors, book cover designers, website builders, headshot photographers, and publicists are attending the Muse with a range of important skills. To better put them in contact with the 800+ writers who will be there, we’re offering a first-ever Freelancer’s Showcase.1
The Showcase will be a lunch-hour series of live, mini-interviewers with each participating freelancer, addressing the topic of “The Lifecycle of a Book.” We’ll use it to explain the different stages of the book production process, from manuscript to finished book, and will showcase various experts who can help attendees at each stage. Freelancers wouldn’t have to present or prepare– we’d simply ask you live questions about your particular approach to editing, and what you feel you’re especially good at. In this way, attendees can identify how your services resonate with their own work and what they want for it, and can contact you afterwards. If you are interested, please email Sonya at sonya@grubstreet.org.
